**The latest news from our campaign...**

About 1,100 miles of offshore rocks and islands on the California coastline are currently designated as a national monument. The vast majority of this area is inaccessible--only to be viewed through binoculars.

The California Coastal National Monument is made up of 20,000 rocks and islands and as of January 12, 2017, six on-shore areas managed by the BLM.  The original National Monument was established for the rocks and islands off the coast in 2000 by President Clinton.  We are thrilled that because of a massive state-wide campaign, we were able to expand the National Monument in 2017. Thanks to all of our supporters.
